Space Food

When I was a kid, my parents would buy these “space food sticks”. I loved those things. A bit softer than a Tootsie Roll, chewy, and with a nice chocolate flavor. Not really sure what was in them but I loved them because my heros, the astronauts, apparently ate these things in space. I’ve come to find out that they were made by Pillsbury from the original commercials I found above.

With Dylan’s recent trip to the Kennedy Space Center, grandma and grandpa bought him some of the freeze dried neapolitan ice cream. Dylan did not like it too much but I could not get it away from Parker. He not only ate the entire contents of package, but licked the wrapper and has asked for it every day since. The moment he started asking for it to be in his lunch at preschool, I knew my son was going to love all “space food”. Not to mention the fact that he will be a fantastic backpacker due to his love for freeze dried food. Haha

Guess I’ll have to stock up on freeze dried ice cream with summer approaching fast.

Day At The Lake

Day At The Lake, originally uploaded by tigerpaw511.

We had plans to take the boys to Crystal Cove in Newport Beach but as we drove past Lake Mission Viejo, we changed our plans. Made a U-turn at the next light and drove to the lake.

Both Parker and Jonathan enjoyed the entire North Beach to themselves while mom and dad helped build sand castles.

It’s days like this where we are glad to have made the decision to move here.  Click on the photo above to see more of our trip and also check out the movie of Lena and Parker attempting to build a sand castle.

We missed Dylan but got a call from grandma who said he was having a lot of fun with his extended family in Florida and was about to see a stunt show at Disneyworld.

First Official Dental Appointment

The title of this post is ‘First Official Dental Appointment’ because Parker has been to this dentist once before. Long story short, he smacked his chin on a countertop and ended up pushing a bottom tooth forward.

Both Mom and I are very proud of you Parker. You did not cry once and were a true champ during the entire visit. No cavities! Let’s keep it that way.

First Day Of Preschool

First Day Of Preschool, originally uploaded by tigerpaw511.

Today Parker embarks on a long journey of education that will culminate with his Mom and Dad sitting outside at Stanford University as he receives his diploma. Ok, ok. It’s just preschool. He was very excited to take his backpack (Quiksilver of course) and lunchbox to school. He is certainly looking forward to meeting a bunch of new friends.

Parker, we love you and are extremely proud of you. See you in Stanford, California. :)
