My little one came up to me this morning, handed me his bottle and said “more milk”…as I was taking the bottle from him, I started to correct him “more milk ples…..” wait…did my little guy just say his first sentence!! Yes, he did! Jon came up to me this morning, handed me his bottle and said “more milk”. Yeah!
He is started to say more and more words. Yesterday he pointed to a piece of dust..I said “dust”. He then repeated me. He also said eyes the other day. He will be 20 months on March 19th and the days/weeks/months are flying by. I just love him and want to savor these days.
Jon woke up from his nap in a grouchy mood. He likes milk when he wakes up..apparently Mom wasn’t moving fast enough. The milk was poured (out of view) but Jon thought that by lying in front of the fridge would get him what he wanted faster. Not sure how much of this is him just being cranky after a nap or fed-up with Mom’s teases…
I had this great idea. I would buy a Wii Fit and work out while the kids are playing in the front room.
As you can see from the picture, this did not work out…..
I realize it’s been a few weeks since his birthday. Better late than never. With a number of family members out of town, we had a smaller than usual family gathering to celebrate Jon’s first birthday. Even though the other family members were there via video conference for a short while, we had a blast with the small group that was there.
Thanks to everyone that came and shared this special day with us.
Jonathan loves peaches. Here he is enjoying his favorite dessert during the Memorial Day weekend. Hope all of you are enjoying time with family and/or friends.
We had plans to take the boys to Crystal Cove in Newport Beach but as we drove past Lake Mission Viejo, we changed our plans. Made a U-turn at the next light and drove to the lake.
Both Parker and Jonathan enjoyed the entire North Beach to themselves while mom and dad helped build sand castles.
It’s days like this where we are glad to have made the decision to move here. Click on the photo above to see more of our trip and also check out the movie of Lena and Parker attempting to build a sand castle.
We missed Dylan but got a call from grandma who said he was having a lot of fun with his extended family in Florida and was about to see a stunt show at Disneyworld.
