Uncle Jacques

My uncle Jacques died on Friday in a tragic accident.  He was such a nice man who liked to travel, be adventurous, and farm.  He loved his family and was a really hard worker. Recently, my Grandma decided she wanted to buy a new house in town.  Jacques worked really hard to get my Grandma the dream home she always wanted (it is so beautiful :) ).  I can’t believe anything like this would happen to him.  Please keep our family in your thoughts this week as we attend his funeral and say goodbye.  We will miss him greatly.

Jon the Artist

Before bath last night, Jon decided to draw some pictures and hang them with tape on his wall – just like his brother Parker had done.  He walked out of his room with this drawing and said “this  is mommy”.  I was amazed at what I saw!  Such a good artist at 2.5 (yesterday, Jan 19th, he turned 2.5 years old!).

Parker’s First Soccer Game

Parker’s First Socer Game, originally uploaded by tigerpaw511.

Well the day finally arrived. Parker was up at 6 putting on his uniform for the game. He was very excited and proud to finally go to “his” game as opposed to an event his older brother was participating in.

At this age, the kids spend about half an hour running through drills before actually playing a game. The games consist of 3-on3 for 5 minute intervals. Parker did fantastic. He was certainly one of (if not the) fastest on the field. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
