Ouch!, originally uploaded by tigerpaw511.
This morning Parker took on a door and lost. Hopefully this will be the last time he tries something like that. The reality is that this is just one of many boo-boos the kids will receive growing up. As a parent, I now understand what my folks went through when they said injuries I sustained growing up hurt them more then me. It’s all coming back around now that I’m a Dad.
*Update* - The Radiologist called back and said that Parker may have a fracture in his distal phalange (the bone at the tip of his finger). Unfortunately we have to wait a week until they can take another x-ray (after swelling goes down.
**Final Update** – We took Parker back to the Dr. after we found him favoring his hand. This time the Dr. lanced his nail to drain the fluid underneath. The whole procedure took only a few seconds and Parker is feeling much better.
No broken bones..he is okay. they wanted to drain the blood from under his nail, but I didn’t have them do it. I hope I made the right choice.
I feel so sorry for Parker. Every time I see a child hurt I hurt as well. Love you tons and tons Parker.

Experience is our first and best teacher, isnt it? Parker should endure the pain for now treating it as a worthy lesson.Hope he jumps back soon!
